Welcome to El Dorado Hills

Prestigious, hip NorCal neighborhood in NorCal with luxurious homes and upscale businesses

This welcoming community is nestled in the scenic foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, right between the Lake Tahoe basin and the San Francisco Bay area. More than 40,000 people live here; most of the excitement centers on the El Dorado Hills Town Center. That’s where you’ll find daily shopping, dining, and weekly and seasonal entertainment.

The community is home to yearly festivals and a thriving arts community. In 2018, El Dorado Hills was ranked the fourth-best place (out of 254) to raise children in California (WalletHub conducted the ranking based on several factors, including the number of playgrounds per capita and average commute time).

What to Love

  • Quality public schools and a very high graduation rate
  • Easy access to the coast and gorgeous California beaches
  • Stunning mountain views
  • A variety of home settings, whether you’re looking for a rural or suburban feel

Local Lifestyle

El Dorado Hills is a bedroom community outside of the bustling city of Sacramento. This upscale but rural neighborhood is home to individuals who work in the tech sector, healthcare, fintech, education, and the like. Nightlife is trendy, hip, and mellow. You might enjoy some of NorCal’s finest wines or try artisan brews crafted at local breweries. The dining choices in El Dorado Hills are equally varied and delicious.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

The Milestone Restaurant & Cocktail Bar is known for outstanding New American cuisine. Diners enjoy hearty meals and trendy cocktails, and it’s a great place for Sunday brunch.

Aji Japanese Bistro is a stylish and trendy restaurant and bar. Their offerings include traditional Japanese cuisine and finely crafted cocktails.

And Mimosa House is a casual, family-owned breakfast-to-lunch spot. They’re known for great mimosas and other bubbly delights.

After a delicious brunch and bubbly, El Dorado Hills residents might spend their afternoons at the Regal Movie Theater. There are also plenty of fitness opportunities. Orange Theory Gym is popular. And the Serrano Country Club offers 18 holes of golf, tennis courts and swimming pools. After all that action, you can enjoy a snack or a full meal on-site.

Things to Do

Everyone looks forward to the El Dorado Hills Summer Fest. This community-sponsored event is busy in the best of ways. You’ll enjoy a beer and wine garden, live DJs, and traditional fair entertainment for kids, like a petting zoo and face painting.

The Sunday Farmers Market in Town Center is another popular event. Spend your Sunday selecting the finest locally grown produce from the El Dorado Hills community. This is your happy place if you’re looking for organic heirloom tomatoes or cage-free eggs.

The annual Charity Golf Tournament at Serrano Country Club draws professionals and talented amateur golfers. Enjoy a day in the mild NorCal sun as a player or spectator.

And finally, the Steven Young Amphitheater in Town Center hosts an array of live entertainment. From classical music to rock concerts, residents can access all kinds of awesome shows.
